I’ve Heard Of It – What is it?
Root Canal treatment may be the most talked about dental procedures in the outside world. Everyone has heard of it yet not many people actually know what it means. Root Canal Treatment is the process of removing the nerve tissue within a tooth to get rid of pain associated with the tooth. It generally requires 2 to 3 visits.
Why Would I Need One?
There are many reasons a Root Canal Treatment maybe required. A Root Canal Treatment is required in those teeth where the nerve in the tooth has been exposed. This can happen for a number of reasons, however most typically from, untreated tooth decay, cracked teeth, dental trauma.
These teeth, if they are not already causing a considerable amount of pain soon will. In addition, if the tooth is left untreated, the infection will spread from the tooth, through the mouth, into the rest of the body and cause more serious medical problems.
