Child Dental Benefits Schedule
What is it?
In January 2014, The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) was initiated. This is a unique scheme allowing eligible children who are between the ages of 2 to 17 access to $1000 worth of dental treatment over two years.
Who can get it?
To be eligible for this scheme, you must be claiming Family Tax Benefit Part A or similar. To find out if your children are eligible you can either call Medicare directly or contact us here at Brookwater Dental Surgery on (07) 3709 3702 with your medicare number and we will be able to let you know.
What’s covered?
Under the CDBS, we can provide checkups, cleans, xrays, fissure sealants, fillings, extractions and root canal treatments. Orthodontic and cosmetic work is not covered at the moment.
